Kendal, October 10, 2025 — The series of activities at Talent Camp Asia 2025 officially concluded with great enthusiasm and cross-national collaboration. This prestigious design training program took place from October 6–10, 2025, at the Furniture and Wood Processing Industry Polytechnic (Polifurneka) in Kendal, Indonesia.

As part of its mission to strengthen the synergy between vocational education and the furniture industry, Polifurneka, in collaboration with CAD+T Austria, successfully hosted this international-class event dedicated to developing innovative young talents. The training introduced participants to CAD+T Engineer Classic, an AutoCAD®-based module with an intuitive interface, short learning curve, and automated features for producing precise and efficient 2D and 3D furniture designs.

Five Days of Collaboration Between Young Talents and International Practitioners

Throughout the five-day event, 50 participants from across Indonesia—comprising lecturers, teachers, vocational high school students, college students, and industry representatives—joined the program. They competed and collaborated in designing and producing functional furniture aligned with Industry 4.0 technology, under the direct guidance of Andrei Aseron Manuel from CAD+T Headquarters in Dubai and William Dedella from CAD+T Australasia.

The presence of these international trainers further emphasized the prestige of Talent Camp Asia, a program held in multiple countries as a platform for global talent development in digital design and furniture manufacturing.

Appreciation for Industry Partners and Announcement of Winners

On the fourth day, Polifurneka presented plaques and certificates of appreciation to sponsoring vendors who made significant contributions to the success of Talent Camp Asia 2025. Recognized partners included FELDER, TACO, BLUM, HASSTON, ELWOOD, PT KLI, MILAN, and CRONA.

Plaques were symbolically handed over by Mr. Alfani Risman Nugroho, Vice Director III of Polifurneka, while certificates were presented by Mr. Nicolas Hutasoit, Chair of the Talent Camp Asia 2025 Committee.
At the same occasion, Polifurneka announced the top three winners of Talent Camp Asia 2025:

  1. Wifan Archi Trian – SMKN 2 Kendal

  2. Muhamad Atdfal – Furniture and Wood Processing Industry Polytechnic (Polifurneka)

  3. I Wayan Gede Arya Sadana Yoga – President University

The second-place design was selected to be developed into a furniture prototype, representing a tangible integration of participant creativity with real industrial manufacturing processes.

Prototyping: A Real Collaboration Between Vocational Education and Industry

The fifth day marked the highlight of the event, the prototype production process using advanced industrial facilities. All participants were directly involved in the manufacturing process using CNC, sawing, and drilling machines from FELDER, supported by Mr. Ligorius Wijaya, Branch Manager of FELDER Indonesia, along with his technical team and the Talent Camp Asia participants.

The prototype embodied a concrete collaboration between Polifurneka and its industry sponsors, who contributed materials and technology support. Materials used included plywood, HPL, veneer, wood glue, coating materials, and various hardware such as hand tools, fittings, and CNC machinery, all supplied by FELDER, TACO, BLUM, HASSTON, ELWOOD, PT KLI, MILAN, and CRONA.

The production process lasted half a day, from cutting to assembly and finishing. The final prototype will be showcased at Polifurneka’s showroom as a symbol of synergy between vocational education, the furniture industry, and international partners.

A Meaningful Closing

The Talent Camp Asia 2025 concluded with a Closing Ceremony, marked by the symbolic awarding of certificates to the top three winners. The certificates were presented by Mr. Dian Eko Hari Purnomo, Vice Director II for General Administration and Finance at Polifurneka, alongside the Committee Chair and representatives from CAD+T.

In his closing remarks, Mr. Dian shared an inspiring message:

“May Talent Camp Asia 2025 become a memorable milestone and a starting point for the birth of outstanding Asian talents ready to face global challenges. See you at the next Talent Camp Asia!”

Talent Camp Asia 2025 was not merely a furniture design competition, it was a collaborative learning arena that united creativity, technology, and industry commitment. Through this event, Polifurneka continues to affirm its role as a bridge between vocational education and the global furniture industry, contributing to the creation of creative, adaptive, and globally competitive vocational human resources.
